Burns night

Burns night celebrates the poet Robert Burns. It is usually celebrated on his birthday 25 January.

Haggis is eaten on burn night . A piper plays the bagpipes and walks in front of the cook carrying the haggis.

Before they eat  the haggis someone  reads out Burns poem Address to a haggis.

Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o' the puddin-race!
Aboon them a' ye tak your place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye wordy o' a grace
As lang's my arm.
